Summer in The City 2011: My Bucket List ready, set GO!

>> Wednesday, June 29, 2011

I know we aren't going to live in NYC forever, so I want to make the most of it. We've done a lot of super cool things already, but I want to make sure I don't miss anything. So here is a list of things I want to do this summer. Some are things I've done already, but are worth doing again. Here goes:

The List

Drive to the Connecticut coast
The Highline
Connecticut Children's museum (6/28)
Walk the Brooklyn bridge (again)
Lombardi's Pizza
NY Botanical Garden
The Bronx Zoo
Cruise around Manhattan (again)
Double Decker bus tour
Manhattan Children's museum
Coney Island 4th of July Hot Dog eating contest
Police Museum
Picnic in Fort Tryon Park
Weekly library days
Empire state building
The Frick Museum
Farmers market at NY Botanical gardens
Do a walking photography tour
Crumbs cupcakes
Take a spin class
Fly a kite
Staten Island Ferry
Find famous graves at Woodlawn cemetery
Row boat in Central Park
Shakespeare in the park
Take a dance class at Alvin Ailey
Apollo theatre
Belvedere castle

I may add to the list, there are a million things to do here. As Jay -Z says: "This city never sleeps, better slip you an Ambien!"
